Worshiping

  • What to Expect

Worship is the beating heart of our ministry. We gather Sunday mornings to approach God, receive God's grace in Word and sacrament, and respond to God's grace. Our Sunday worship helps us to organize our lives around these movements. In our worship service we sing, pray, read scripture, and hear a message by our pastor or a guest preacher.

Do you have children? Great! If you would like a break, we have a nursery for young children. Do you want to keep your children with you? Great! And don’t worry about them making noise. When we say we are a church family, we mean it.

  • Hybrid Worship

In addition to meeting in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday, members of the ARC family have the option of joining in worship on Zoom. Please click here for the link to connect by computer or smartphone and the number to connect by telephone.

  • Music Ministry

Anyone who likes to sing is welcome to join the Chancel Choir. Rehearsals are usually on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. If you're interested in singing in the choir, please contact the Church Office Administrator (nancymacarc@gmail.com).

  • Weather Emergencies

Whenever it is necessary to cancel a service due to a weather emergency, the following steps will be taken to notify the congregation:

    • A message will be placed on the church’s answering machine, (518) 861-8711, announcing the cancellation by 9:00 a.m. that Sunday

    • An email cancellation notice will go out

    • A notice will be placed on our ARC Facebook Page

For the month of August, we will worship at 9:00 a.m. at Helderberg Reformed Church., except for Sunday, August 17, which is our 10:00 community worship in Orsini Park. WEEKLY DONATIONS OF REFRESHMENTS FOR FELLOWSHIP TIME NEEDED

Our Fellowship Time team sets up coffee hour each Sunday, makes the beverages, and cleans up the kitchen. They continue to need food donations. You do not need to sign up for a particular week. Just bring your donation plated, ready to serve, and be prepared to take the leftovers home with you. Please signify if your food donation contains peanuts or peanut oil. Thank you.

Thank you Choir

A huge thank you to all who serve as a part of our music ministry, whether by singing, playing, or simply cheering us on. It was another wonderful season! Anyone interested in joining the choir can reach out to Stephanie Brewer. We will resume regular rehearsals in the Fall.
